Who we are

Eighthunt Heating & Air is a referral service for heating and cooling problems. We are not a repair company. We connect homeowners in Stamford and the Stamford area with independent local HVAC providers. Those providers do the work, set their own prices, and answer for their own jobs.

Why this site exists

A lot of people think a strange noise or a weak vent is nothing to worry about. In practice, small signs tend to grow. A part that is slightly worn today can strain the whole system by next month. Our idea is simple: look before it breaks. A short conversation early can keep a small fix from turning into a big one.

Myth versus reality: "Any name on a search page will do"

It is easy to pick the first result and hope. But heating and cooling work is specific. A cold, older home with a stone foundation has different needs than a newer build. We try to take some of the guesswork out of the first step.

How providers are matched

You tell us what is going on. That might be warm air from the AC, a furnace that clicks and quits, or an old unit you are thinking of replacing. What we expect from providers

Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:

• Give a written quote before major work begins
• Hold the licenses and insurance their local rules require
• Treat your home with care

The provider, not Eighthunt Heating & Air, is responsible for the work and any paperwork that comes with it.

What we do not do

Eighthunt Heating & Air does not do any repair, installation, or replacement work. Nobody from Eighthunt Heating & Air shows up at your door. Only the independent provider you are connected with does that. We do not set prices, and we cannot promise a certain outcome. We also cannot tell you what your insurance will do. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy and ask your provider to help document the problem if you need to file a claim.

How we are paid

Homeowners are not charged by Eighthunt Heating & Air for sending a request. Providers in our network may pay a referral fee when they are connected with a homeowner. That is how this service keeps running. You are never required to hire anyone we connect you with.
