How Our Network Works
Talk to a local provider

Who you talk to
A lot of people picture a big call center or a company truck pulling up. That is not how this works. Eighthunt Heating & Air is a referral service. When you reach out, you are connected with an independent HVAC provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. It is the one that looks at your system, gives you a quote, and does the work.
What happens on the first conversation
Expect a few simple questions. The provider will want to know:
- What you see, hear, or smell
- How old the system is
- When the trouble started
- Whether it runs at all
Take a minute to look at your equipment first. Note any error lights, odd sounds, or ice on the unit. Those details help the provider understand what is going on and decide if it needs a quick visit or a closer look.
Many providers can respond quickly, but timing varies. Ask about availability up front.
Myth versus reality: "Asking questions makes me look unsure"
In practice, providers expect questions. Clear answers are a good sign. Vague ones are worth noticing.
What to ask an independent provider
Here is a short list you can use:
- Will you give me a written quote before work starts?
- What is included, and what could change the price?
- Do you hold the license and insurance my area requires?
- Is this a repair or a replacement, and why?
- How long should the job take?
- What kind of warranty comes with parts and labor?
Typical costs vary a lot by job, home, and equipment. A written quote is the clearest way to know what you will actually pay for your situation.
You are in control
Talking to a provider does not lock you in. You can ask for more than one opinion. You can say no. You can take a day to think it over. Eighthunt Heating & Air does not set the price, schedule the work, or sign any contract for you. Any agreement is between you and the provider.
